Teaching strategy by veterinary endoscopy and endosurgery
(cats and dogs)

International VetEndoSchool VESK™ (inter VESK™) has been teaching Endoscopy and Endosurgery to veterinary doctors from different countries for more than 15 years.
Сontinuous levels of training (starting from the introductory and basic module to specialized, gradually becoming more difficult).
One-two days introductory modules are designed to cover the general topics of Flexible and Rigid Endoscopy and Endosurgery.
Basic one-two-day modules (the first day is the technique on simulators, the second is practice in the clinic) allows you to immerse yourself in the subject of the issue being studied at a good level of a practicing veterinarian (Endoscopy in gastroenterology, ENT endoscopy, Endourology, Fundamentals of Laparoscopy, Fundamentals of Thoracoscopy, Arthroscopy of large joints).
Half or one-day specialized modules, we teach unique technologies for the treatment of urinary incontinence, urolithiasis, perineal hernia endosurgery, urolithiasis, and so on.
For many years of training at the international VetEndoSchool (inter VESK™), a stable structure of step-by-step training of a specialist has formed. Studying systematically, year after year, this form of studying material from a international teams (instructors) of VESK™ specialists (as part of teachers, practicing doctors who work daily in the field of endoscopy) gives the necessary direction of training and forms the student's self-confidence. The experience that we pass on at different stages of training is often unique.
Specially created silicone and plastic simulators immerse the listener in real endoscopy even at the stage of practicing methods in the classroom. Contact with the most modern equipment from the first days of trainings gives a chance to work with real and best equipments and devices that endosurgeons use in operating rooms under training conditions. Live online transmissions from operations allow you to see and ask questions during all online activity to the operating team.

Doctors/organizers can choose any of the programs or combine as needed. Inter VESK™ recommends that all skill programs be carried out according to the formulas:
1. Lecture methodical part + online transmission from real endoscopic room with live procedure, which is combined with active demonstration of equipment for. Formula: methodical part (25%) +training in working on equipment (30-40%) +application of methods on silicone models (35-45%).
2. Lectures + dry laboratory + online transmission from real endoscopic room with live procedure. Within the framework of which a shortened version of the methodological part is carried out and a significant bias is made towards the applied issues of using equipment on silicone models). Formula: methodical part (40-50%) +training in working on equipment (50-60%).
3. Lectures + dry laboratory + wet laboratory. Activity is carried out according to the formula: methodical part dry laboratory (10%) +training in working on equipment (5%) +application of methods on silicone models (10%) +operations on biologics (25%) +assistance on real operations (40%) +discussions + knowledge attestation (10%)

Recommended training introduction/basic/clinical internship stages:
1. Introduction level (1-2-day training). First part – Recommended for clinic directors, chief physicians, and practicing specialists. Contains information on marketing, practical applications, and new veterinary services. Second part – Recommended for practicing physicians and operating room nurses.
2. Basic level (one or more training sessions over one or more years). Recommended in courses (blocks) on one or more techniques. Combining fundamental ideology and the basics of endoscopy/endosurgery with multifunctional knowledge of applied endoscopy in theory and practice using equipment/silicone simulators/cadavers/real patients.
3. Clinical internship (at the Endovet center in Russia on the training topic). Recommended for doctors who have completed the same topics of the basic level (usually during 7 days total/5 working days each). Once per 3-5 years
4. Specialized level (1-10 years after starting training, mastering various unique methods). You can choose by blocks or by aligning difficulty levels.
Recommendations about a specialized course
Levels of complexity for participants- from 1 to 10 scores:
– 1, 6, 7, 18 – Is not very complicated and easiest from other (but they needs specific equipment and scopes). Levels of complexity approx 2-3 scores from 10.
– 3,11. Is more popular (because the OE is very often to do in vet clinics). Levels of complexity approx 3-4 scores from 10.
– 4, 8, 9, 12,13 – Levels of complexity approx 4-5 scores from 10.
– 10,15 – Levels of complexity approx 6-7 scores from 10.
– 16. Levels of complexity approx 7 scores from 10.
– 17. Levels of complexity approx 8-9 scores from 10.
– 2, 5, 14, 19. Very professional flexible endosurgery. Levels of complexity approx 9-10 scores from 10.
– 2. Needs special supplies (regular flexible scope/ operative flexible scope, special instruments for flexible scopes, others). The levels of complexity from 2 to 9 scores from 10. (depends of the tasks).
NOTES level:
This step-by-step level is aimed at performing transluminal operations on the organs of the abdominal and chest cavities. The most easiest of operations of this level is Spay endosurgery in cats and dogs. The most difficult – VetPOEM
